Scope/Purpose of the Position
The inventory control specialist is responsible for inventory of all raw materials used in the production of goods at the facility. These responsibilities include proper inventory management of the raw materials, sending purchase orders to vendors, proper receiving of items into the inventory management system, and proper management of space available at the plant. They are also responsible for building and keeping good relationships with vendors
Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions
· Send purchase orders to vendors for all raw materials to ensure timely delivery in order to produce according to the production schedule
· Proper inventory management of all raw materials in plant
· Database management of the inventory system to ensure accuracy of the following:
o Inventory management of all raw materials
o Correct and timely invoice approvals of raw materials
o Ensure correctness of finished product sales between Bakerly Barn and Bakerly
o Bill of Materials for all products be kept up to date and accurate based on current plant efficiencies and yields
· Communicate effectively with quality team on all food safety or quality issues regarding raw materials
· Communicate effectively with shipping and receiving team on deliveries
· Complete monthly (or as needed) cycle counts of inventory
Job Qualification Requirements
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in inventory management
· Bachelor’s Degree Required
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Good organizational skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
· Ability to respond to continually changing priorities
· Interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
