Second Harvest food bank has one mission: “lead our community to ensure that anyone who needs a healthy meal can get one.” We find that to be a beautiful cause and we’re ready to help! Second Harvest focuses primarily on Santa Clara and San Mateo counties on the west coast of the US. Founded in 1974, they make sure that we can all have access to the most basic need: food. Every month, they provide food to more than a quarter of a million people in these two counties. More than half the people served are kids and seniors. Since then, they have expanded to much more states and counties across America!
