Your California Privacy Rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
What this means for bakerly
Like most ecommerce companies, bakerly uses advertising and analytics technologies — including pixels from Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google, Microsoft/Bing, and Reddit — that may share your browsing and purchase behavior with those platforms to show you relevant ads. Under California law, this activity may qualify as the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and you have the right to opt out.
How to opt out
You have two ways to exercise this right:
Option 1 — Cookie preference center (immediate): If you are visiting from California, use the cookie consent banner on our site to decline advertising and analytics cookies. This is the fastest way to stop data sharing in real time. If you previously accepted cookies and want to change your preference, clear your browser cookies and revisit bakerly.com — the banner will reappear.
Option 2 — Submit a formal request: To submit a documented opt-out request, email us at happysupport@bakerly.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." Please include your full name and the email address associated with your bakerly account so we can locate and process your request.
We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and complete the opt-out within 45 days. We may contact you to verify your identity before processing your request.
What happens after you opt out
Opting out means we will stop sharing your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes. Please note:
- You will still be able to browse bakerly.com and make purchases normally
- You may still see ads from bakerly, but they will not be personalized based on your browsing behavior
- Your opt-out preference will be applied to the device and browser you are using — if you use multiple devices or browsers, you may need to submit a request for each
- Your opt-out does not affect information sharing necessary to process your orders, fulfill your subscriptions, or provide customer service
Authorized agents
If you are a California resident submitting a request on behalf of another person, please include written authorization from that person along with your request.
