Scope/Purpose of the Position
The Warehouse Manager oversees operations at Bakerly Barn to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule. Duties of the Warehouse Manager include directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations as well as , overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, dispatching of a wide variety of Bakerly Barn products., They ensure productivity targets are achieved, and confirming all warehouse processes are running smoothly., The Warehouse Manager is also instrumental in maintaining the highest safety, quality, cost and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Strategically manage the warehouse in compliance with Bakerly Barn’s policies and vision
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Setup layout, and ensure efficient space utilization and cleanliness of the warehouse
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
- Knowledge of the Company, OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations, and power industrial equipment requirements
- Assist in controlling inventory levels by conducting physical counts ; and reconciling with the ERP system including
- Managing the flow of inventory consistent with FIFO costing
- Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts,; inspecting equipment, and; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
- Give Allocate resources needed to implement the SQF and NO-GE systems
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget,; scheduling expenditures;, analyzing variances,; and initiating corrective actions
- Manage warehouse staff job results performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees through , planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
- Perform administrative tasks including approval of timecards, managing time-off requests, annual reviews, and any other administrative tasks as necessary Overseeing warehouse team members including approval of timecards, managing time off requests, annual reviews and other administrative tasks as necessary.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, and following up on work results
- Â Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, etc.)
- Â Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
- Train employees and manage logs related to forklift and safety trainings
-  Adherence to all established GMP’s
Job Qualification Requirements
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices within an ERP system
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Leadership skills and ability to manage a staff
- Strong decision making and problem solving problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior forklift experience with trainer certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift trainer certification
- B.S. Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration and/or 5 years relevant work experience
